Tackling Counterfeit Challenges: ELIDE FIRE® Strategic Moves in the Middle East and Africa

On August 13, 2024, Mr. DARM Boontham, the Ambassador to Riyadh, warmly welcomed Dr. Ahmed El Gendi, Chairman & CEO of the El Gendi Group and Managing Director of ELIDE FIRE® Middle East & Africa. Dr. Gendi represents the official distributor of the ELIDE FIRE® Extinguishing Ball products in the Middle East and Africa regions. These products, patented and manufactured by Elide Fire Ball Pro Co., Ltd., are renowned for their innovative fire safety solutions.

During this significant meeting, Dr. Gendi sought advice from the Thai Embassy to address the pressing issue of counterfeit fire extinguishing balls bearing the ELIDE FIRE® trademark in Saudi Arabia. The Ambassador advised Dr. Gendi to file a formal complaint with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, ensuring that the matter is handled by the principal agency responsible for intellectual property rights.

The Thai Embassy expressed its readiness to support and coordinate closely to resolve this issue fairly and justly, demonstrating a proactive stance against intellectual property infringement and reinforcing the integrity of ELIDE FIRE® products in international markets.
